Overview

Take the reins of the Grey Horse, a picturesque and large village pub on the outskirts of Worksop. The Grey Horse is a previous winner of North-Notts Pub of the Year.

Pub and location

Now is an excellent time to take over the pub, as the council plans to build more houses and infrastructure to create a town from the village. We will also invest in new external signage and lighting, redecorating the toilets and the bar and lounge areas.

The Grey Horses Inn is one of three pubs in the village that all trade in their local segment. The Grey Horse is a community-focused pub with a tasty food offer.

Guests love the beautiful garden that gets the evening sun and hosts the annual village festival. You’ll be a talented publican with catering experience who will maximise the potential of the well-fitted kitchen with a robust 5-star rating.

The upstairs function room has an entry point and is currently underused. The savvy operator will know how to use this space to its full advantage. It’s accessible via the car park and main lounge.

The pub also has a tap room with around twenty covers. It’s the cask corner where guests watch terrestrial TV sports. The main lounge has around fifty covers and open-plan trading space leading to the garden. The beer garden has sixteen benches and is a good space for entertainment activities and functions.

Carlton in Lindrick sits in beautiful countryside north-east of Worksop. There are plenty of notable attractions within a ten-mile radius of the pub.

Ideal operator

You’ll deliver a quality food offer for the mid-market and equally as crucially deliver quality cask products and range throughout the year.

You must love village life whilst being able to deliver a profitable business.

You must have proven track experience in food operations and enjoy building local relationships in the community.
