The Boars Head in Stockport relaunched over the weekend welcoming back customers old and new to see their new look local.

The pub has undergone a £383,000 investment by pub owners, Punch. Works included a full refurbishment inside and out, relocating both the kitchen and the bathroom facilities to create a more open space for customers to enjoy all this fantastic pub has to offer.

The Boars Head now boasts all new signage and festoon lighting and works have been done to ensure that the pub is more accessible from the carpark.

This epic local has been given a new lease of life and will be operated by experienced Publican, Simon Reeder. Simon is local to the area and knows The Boars Head well. He has a wealth of experience in hospitality and has lots of plans to take this much-loved hub of the community to the next level.

Managing Director for Punch, Andy Spencer said, “This is a significant investment by Punch in an established community pub and we are extremely pleased with the new look created. With our new Publican Simon at the helm, we are confident that the Boars Head will continue to operate at the very heart of the community it serves.’’

The pub will offer an extensive range of cask, craft and world beers as well as a new food menu which includes delicious flatbreads and burgers, alongside traditional pub favourites. Simon will also be introducing a brand-new Sunday morning brunch.

To match a great food and drink offer, Simon will continue to host all the key sporting events of the year and plans to reintroduce live music and community events, making the Boars Head the place to be.

Simon said, “We are really excited to be here at the Boars Head. It’s a fantastic pub and, together with the team, I want to build on the solid foundations the previous Publican left during an outstanding 20-year tenure. We love this pub and are here to give a warm welcome to all who want to share a thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable time with us!’’

Punch owns and operates 1300 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales and is investing £32 million in its pub estate in the next year with the right Publicans running their pubs.
