The Pied Bull is a resplendent country pub that sits at the very heart of Newton-le-Willows. This £500,000 transformational investment by Punch Pubs & Co has shone a light on its magnificent original features.

The Pied Bull launched last week, with local Management Partners Nia Jones and Jade Carter welcoming guests back through the doors to enjoy the cracking range of beers on offer in a backdrop of quirky art and curiosities.

Positioned right in the heart of the vibrant market town, Newton le Willows, the pub is famous for its unique character that holds an important place in locals’ hearts. Guests have been blown away by the transformation and are thrilled to have seen many of the pub’s iconic details, including the uncovering of a red fleur-de-lys (Lord Newton’s crest) that has been restored to full glory.

Moving outside, the sun trap terrace at the front of the pub is the perfect spot for guests to enjoy all this bustling market town has to offer, whilst guests who may be looking for a more intimate occasion can enjoy dappled sunlight in the newly created secret garden

When speaking about the transformation, Nia and Jade say, “We are so incredibly proud to be here at The Pied Bull. This pub means so much to both of us and our community. It looks exceptional, and to see some of its beautiful historic features being bought back to life means that this pub truly stands out from the crowd.

“So many memories have been made here, with lots of locals having a really strong connection to the pub. We can’t wait to hear more of its stories and make many more memories. The feedback we’ve had so far has been incredible. We are really enjoying welcoming guests back to safely reconnect and enjoy the pub and all we have to offer.”

The Pied Bull is the perfect place for any occasion, with decent local beers and carefully curated cocktails now on offer. As well as an expertly selected wine list that has been created to match a classic pub dining experience.

It wouldn’t be a true British pub experience without a traditional Sunday roast, and Sundays will always be extra special at The Pied Bull. Roast sirloin of beef or a slow-cooked lamb shank promise to be the star of the show and the perfect accompaniment to those all-important family get togethers.

Punch’s operations director Robin Belither says, “The Pied Bull is a grand old pub on a brilliant high street and we are really pleased with what has been created here. This investment, coupled with a brilliant team promises to provide the community and visitors to the area a warm welcome into a truly modern and authentic Great British Pub. Offering guests a cosy dining experience, a few quality beers or an evening of laughs and proper cocktails, depending on your tipple.”
